Our social care support for children with learning disabilities and autism is designed to help them and their families manage daily life and improve their quality of life.
Network Care and Support is a specialist provider to children and young people with range of diagnoses such as Autism, learning disabilities and ADHD, physical disabilities and complex care needs helping them with their day to day needs and to access the community.
A typical shift in Community Support for Children is centred around providing person-centred support to a child or young person with learning disabilities. Shifts can vary in length, lasting anywhere from just a few hours to 12 hours. As a Support Worker, your day may begin by assisting individuals with their morning routines, which could include personal care, or helping them get ready for daily activities. You’ll support individuals to learn and develop life skills such as cooking, problem-solving activities and more.
Throughout the shift, you'll focus on promoting each individual's autonomy while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will support them in the community, help them build social and independent skills, join after school clubs or respite for the parent or carer.
In supported living environments, staff play a vital role in helping clients live independently while providing the care they need. Senior Support Worker Pathway:
Staff can move into Senior Support Worker roles, where they take on more responsibility, including supervising staff, conducting spot checks, and contributing to the on-call function.
Specialised Pathways:
With additional training in management techniques from our in-house trainers, those excelling in senior roles can progress further into specialized positions or office-based roles such as Coordinators or Care Quality Assessors, ensuring ongoing development and growth within the company.
