Home care services involves providing health care or supportive care in the individual's home allowing the individual to live independently, with dignity and respect.
Often called domiciliary care, home care is a range of services put in place to support an individual in their own home. Trained carers provide services that have been agreed in a personalised assessment of the care required. This service is specific to the individual and can be as little or as often required, allowing the client to remain in the safety and comfort in their own home.
We offer comprehensive specialist training to ensure our home care staff are well-prepared to provide high-quality, tailored care. This training ensures our staff remain confident and capable in delivering compassionate, specialised care.
Introduction
Every new team member begins with a thorough induction training, covering essential skills like personal care, medication management, and safeguarding.
Ongoing development
For ongoing development, we provide specialist dementia workshops, equipping staff with practical strategies to support clients living with dementia.
Certified short courses
Additionally, carers can further enhance their expertise by completing certified short courses in areas such as palliative care and epilepsy training, ensuring they’re fully equipped to manage the complex needs of clients with advanced conditions.
In Home Care, staff have clear progression opportunities to advance their careers.
Senior roles - Staff may progress into Senior Carer positions, taking on greater responsibility through mentoring and supervising colleagues, carrying out spot checks, and supporting the on-call function.
Team Leaders - With additional training and support, Senior Carers can progress into Team Leader roles, taking on greater responsibility for staff supervision, service quality, rota planning, and the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Those excelling in their Senior roles may have the opportunity to progress into specialised office-based positions, such as Care Coordinators or Care Quality Assessors, supporting continuous development and growth within the company.
