Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?

Can you connect with young people through your own passions, skills and interests?

We are a brand-new grassroots Alternative Provision (ALP) in North Somerset and we're looking for authentic, down-to-earth mentors who can build real relationships with young people aged 625. This is your chance to join a small, passionate team committed to helping young people regain confidence, trust, and purpose in a safe and supportive setting.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Acting as a positive role model to young people with varying backgrounds
  • Building trusted, consistent relationships based on empathy, respect, and encouragement
  • Using your own interests (e.g. sport, nature, art, music, mechanics, fitness, history, gaming, woodworking) to run engaging, meaningful sessions
  • Supporting young people to develop life skills, confidence, independence, and motivation
  • Creating safe spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and understood
  • Working 1:1 or in small groups in a peaceful countryside setting with great facilities
You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are:
  • Passionate about youth work, mentoring, or supporting young people facing challenges
  • Patient, reliable, and emotionally intelligent, with a non-judgmental approach
  • Comfortable taking the lead in activities and building rapport in informal settings
  • A driver with access to a car travel within North Somerset is essential
Why Join Us?
  • Be part of something genuinely grassroots and person-led
  • Enjoy a flexible role with training, development, and leadership opportunities
  • Work in a supportive, forward-thinking team that puts relationships first
Apply now and be part of a movement that meets young people where they are and walks beside them as they figure out where theyre going.
